Reduce scheduling lag without automating judgment

Candidates often text while a recruiter is in an interview, on a call, or moving between meetings. A short acknowledgment can reduce uncertainty until the recruiter can check the calendar or open the candidate record.

GhostReply runs in Terminal on a Mac and watches eligible one-to-one iMessage conversations. It uses the local thread and relevant context to generate a response through GhostReply's hosted AI, then sends that response in Messages. This can help with ordinary coordination, but it is not a recruiting system and should not make or communicate employment decisions.

Limit the first session to one candidate

One-person mode is the safest way to test a candidate workflow. Select a contact, choose the reply style and delay, and watch the first trial session. When you send a manual reply after GhostReply has answered, the one-person session stops.

All-contacts mode can answer across incoming one-to-one iMessage chats, which may mix personal and professional contacts. In that mode, a manual message pauses the contact for 30 minutes while other eligible chats continue. Group chats are skipped. Requirements and setup for recruiting texts

1. Use an awake, internet-connected Mac with Messages signed in to the iMessage account you intend to monitor.
2. Install GhostReply in Terminal and give that terminal app Full Disk Access to read local Messages history.
3. Grant Messages Automation permission so the terminal can send. Contacts access helps match handles to names.
4. Choose one person or all eligible one-to-one chats, then set a style and delay. No AI provider key is required.

GhostReply keeps history access, the learned profile, configuration, and statistics local on your Mac. Selected conversation samples and relevant context are processed through GhostReply's Cloudflare backend for profile and reply generation and are not stored in its D1 records. Keep candidate decisions and sensitive data human

Do not let GhostReply screen applicants, evaluate qualifications, promise compensation or benefits, confirm employment terms, decide interview outcomes, reject a candidate, discuss accommodations, or handle work authorization and protected information. Avoid sending resumes, identification, background details, health information, or other sensitive candidate data into an automatic conversation.

Urgent and sensitive checks are heuristic keyword rules. They can miss context and are not HR, legal, privacy, or compliance controls.
