Keep small client questions from breaking focus

Freelancers, consultants, contractors, and local service providers often use iMessage as a lightweight client channel. A client may ask whether a file arrived or whether an appointment can move while you are doing the work they hired you to do.

GhostReply watches eligible incoming one-to-one chats while it runs on your Mac. It uses local conversation history and relevant context to generate a short reply through GhostReply's hosted AI, then sends the message automatically. Give one client a narrow reply window

Start with One person mode for a client whose routine communication you understand. Pick a style and reply delay, then keep the Terminal session visible during the free trial. If you send a manual reply after GhostReply has answered, the one-person session stops.

All-contacts mode can respond to incoming one-to-one chats across personal and work contacts. In that mode, your manual message pauses that contact for 30 minutes while other eligible conversations continue. Group chats are skipped. Requirements and setup for client messages

1. Use an awake, internet-connected Mac with Messages signed in to the iMessage account you want to monitor.
2. Install GhostReply in Terminal and grant that terminal app Full Disk Access to read local Messages history.
3. Grant Messages Automation permission so the terminal can send. Contacts access helps identify saved clients.
4. Select one person or all eligible one-to-one chats, then choose the reply style and delay. No AI provider key is required.

GhostReply keeps history access, the learned profile, configuration, and statistics local on the Mac. Selected conversation samples and relevant context are processed through GhostReply's Cloudflare backend for profile and reply generation and are not stored in its D1 records. License validation, trial accounting, and analytics data can reach GhostReply services.

Keep consequential client work manual

Do not let GhostReply accept a contract, change scope, approve a price, promise a deadline, provide financial, legal, or medical guidance, share payment instructions, expose confidential information, or handle a regulated or emergency matter. Avoid automatic sending whenever the reply could bind you, reveal protected data, or cause the client to act.

Urgent and sensitive filters are heuristic keyword checks. They can miss unusual language and are not a confidentiality, compliance, or professional review system.
